In 1995, Wintech Engineering Limited was formed as an independent company within the Wintech Group to develop and operate a new dedicated façade testing centre.

 

Our testing facility in Telford, Shropshire now provides one of the most up-to-date facilities for static and dynamic testing in Europe, capable of undertaking a full range of building envelope performance tests either at the centre itself or on the customers site.

 

We have the capability to test samples up to three storeys as standard, and have accommodated samples up to 13 metres high for past customers. Bespoke sample sizes and shapes can also be accommodated in our custom made rigs. Smaller samples can be weather tightness tested under full internal laboratory conditions at our testing facility.

 

Wintech Engineering Ltd is a UKAS accredited test laboratory (no. 2223) and, in addition to our impressive scope of accreditation, our partnership with the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) lead to us becoming the World’s first UKAS accredited glass impact test laboratory to BS EN 12600.

 

From January 2003, Wintech Engineering Ltd was granted Notified Body status (no. 1288), and as such, we can provide testing services for European companies seeking CE Marking for their products & systems. Our scope of notification continues to grow as more tests are added to our UKAS scope of accreditation year on year.
