CWCT Section 5 and BS 5368 Pt 2 - Static Water Penetration cabinet tests  

These two tests are simply a site version of the laboratory tests for which we are already accredited and along with the spray bar testing mentioned above, these newly ‘accredited’ tests will supplement our existing on site hose testing activities in order to provide a complete service of watertightnesstests to the curtain wall industry. They are all referred to in the CWCT Technical note No 10.   It should be noted that many project specifications require that a UKAS accredited laboratory is used to undertake testing, however great care should be taken when selecting a test laboratory as it is possible for a laboratory to be accredited for as little as one test but then conduct other tests claiming to be accredited. If in any doubt, you should always check the UKAS website, http://www.ukas.org where a full description of all accredited tests are available in PDF format for all test laboratories using their unique laboratory reference No. in our case it is 2223.
