Impact Testing

Wintech Engineering Limited offers a wide range of impact testing services both at our facilities in Telford, Shropshire and on your site, including CWCT, BS EN, and other associated standards. Our partnership with the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) has lead to us become an accomplished glass impact test laboratory, and we were the World’s first UKAS accredited laboratory to BS EN 12600.

BS 8200 -Design of non-load bearing external vertical enclosures of buildings  

This standard contains test methods and requirements for both soft and hard body impact testing. Testing is intended for use as a means of determining the impact resistance of various vertical surfaces and at all heights on a building. It also assists in ensuring the safety of people within and around the building and provides means of checking the suitability of materials subject to various forms of damage, ranging from vandalism to accidental damage by maintenance equipment, cradles etc.
