We are a European Notified Body and an independent UKAS accredited testing laboratory (no. 2223) providing the necessary testing to windows, doors, door-sets and glass products in accordance with various European test standards, as part of the process towards gaining and maintaining CE Marking.
CE Marking is the preferred method to prove compliance with the Construction Products Directive (CPD). This is a legal requirement for manufacturers who wish to place their products in the European market.
As it currently stands, CE Marking is not mandatory for the UK market. However, in 2013, the Construction Product Directive will change to the Construction Products Regulations and will require manufacturers in the UK to have their products CE Marked in accordance with the relevant product standard.
